IBHA advocates for cosmetics as an essential industry
On July 18th, 2024, IBHA participated in a crucial stakeholders meeting convened by the Secretary of Health, Mr. Apurva Chandra, to discuss updates on regulatory rationalisation in the fields of drugs, cosmetics, and medical devices. Joining the discussion were Joint Secretary Mr. Rajiv Wadhawan, Director Mr. Kiran Kalaparu, and DCGI Dr. Raghuvanshi and representatives from FICCI, CII, OPPI. IDMA,IPA etc.
Team IBHA presented the industry’s perspective, highlighting key challenges hindering business continuity. The critical need for cosmetics to be recognised as an essential industry, advocating for policies that foster growth and innovation was strongly emphasised.
